    Chartwell Challengers 2022 Season Info

Good afternoon! (Please read this email in full)

If you have not already met me, my name is Hannah Stuver and I am the head coach of Chartwell this wonderful season. You should know a few things about me: I am a rising senior in high school (17), I have been homeschooled all of my life, I have swum for this team since I was 8, and have swum competitively for the past 5 years. I  look forward to dual-enrolling in the fall at Georgia State University.

I would like to introduce you to our assistant coaches, Mady Terry and Garrett White. I have worked with these two personally and I am thrilled to work alongside them again this year. (Coaching team picture below)

Mady Terry is about to celebrate her 14th birthday later this month & she is headed to Johns Creek HS in the fall – hitting her freshman year with 5 high school credits. Big brain! She’s an avid reader who loves spending time with her friends and trying new skills. This will be her 7th season swimming with Chartwell & she’s bringing in several years of junior coaching experience. She is a big sister to Trey (11) & Luke (5).

Garrett White is 14 & a rising freshman. He’ll be attending Veritas Classical in the fall, as well as apprenticing at his alma mater - The Anvil Academy. Garrett has been swimming with Chartwell since 2015 – making this his 8th season in the water for the neighborhood. He’s also bringing in several years of junior coaching experience & is a big brother to Lucy (12), Brooks (11), Deacon (9) & Beau (6). Garrett loves gaming, reading & baseball.

We are so glad to welcome those who've just started swimming with us or have swam with us before. Thank you so much for your commitment to this team and your participation. I would like to specifically thank the parents for their dedication to getting their swimmers to practice, serving at meets, and being partners with me as we work to make these kids' summers great.

I am confident that we will have a great season, as I am already seeing these kids put out a lot of effort at the end of the day. I am so proud of this team and look forward to all the great things in store! I hope that as we swim, we swim with effort, we are teachable, we apply good sportsmanship whether we win or lose a meet, and we enjoy our time in the pool.

    With that said...parents, IMPORTANT INFO:

-There is NO PRACTICE TOMORROW, FRIDAY THE 13TH

    - Sign-up for your swimmers by TUESDAY NIGHTS for meets on Thursdays. I want my focus to be on your kids, not trying to fit them into races the day of the meet. Please do your part to help these meets run smoothly.

    - I would like to strongly encourage you to download the Swimtopia mobile app. It coincides with the Chartwell Swimtopia page and allows you to get immediate updates on practices, meets, cancellations, and your child's racing events.

    - If you think your child would benefit from one-on-one instruction separate from practice, one of our coaches would be happy to assist you.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Once again, thank you for being part of the Chartwell Challenger team! GO CHAT!
