Hi, everyone!

First of all, thank you so much for joining the Chartwell Challengers Swim Team (CHAT!).  We are so grateful that your family has decided to join our team this year!  You all are in for an exciting Swim Season this year - a season filled with community, development and loads of fun!  The coaches and 2024 swim team committee members Heather, Jen, Joanna, Lisa, Sonia and Stacey are SO excited to meet you all!!

A few things you should know:

1. Our Head Coach is Hannah Stuver. Our Two Assistant Coaches are Caroline Cox and Georgia Hipp. All three have coached the Chartwell Challengers in years past in one capacity or another.  
2. The First Swim Practice is Monday, 5/6/24 starting at 3:45PM (up first are "The Little Challengers").  Each age group has a different practice time. The practice schedule is attached.  We practice Monday thru Thursday until our first meet. We do not have practice on Fridays, though you can come to the pool every Friday morning after a swim meet for "Fun Fridays" where the swimmers can collect their ribbons and enjoy a donut and some juice while swimming with friends. 3. Our Mandatory Parent Meeting will happen on Monday 5/6/24 15 minutes prior to your swimmer's practice time. We will go over the "rules of the pool", swim meets, coach information and swim meet volunteer information. 
4. Our Mock Meet is on Tuesday, May 21st at 5:30PM. Please arrive by 5PM for your swimmer(s) to get "marked up" and warm up. We will start with the younger swimmers (6 & Under) so that they don't miss any bedtimes. Please make every attempt to attend the Mock Meet so that your swimmers will know exactly what to do at their very first "real" meet AND so that they can be in the official Team Photo!!
5. Our First Swim Meet is Thursday 5/30/24 at Chartwell against the Woodfield Waves. You will need to arrive by 4/4:15PM so that you can check in as a volunteer and your swimmer(s) can get  "marked up" in time for warm ups, which start at 4:30pm with the 6 & Under age group.  The full Meet schedule can be found on the SwimTopia site by clicking here: https://chartwell.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
6. Team Swim Suits/Jammers - these are not mandatory, but highly encouraged!  You can get fitted at Swim Atlanta and order from our website. I would encourage you to do this within the next week or so to ensure your suit comes in by the Mock Meet. 
7. T-Shirts and Swim Caps - we will have these to every swimmer by the Mock Meet on 5/21!
8. REFERRAL FEE FOR MORE SWIMMERS!  If you have a friend inside or outside of the neighborhood who is looking for a fun swim team to join this summer, please send them our way!  You will receive a $25 referral fee for anyone who registers by Friday, May 3rd!!!  *We especially need teenagers!*

10. If you are not new to our swim team, be sure to give a warm welcome to our newcomers during the first week of practice!  This is a great opportunity to make new friends - not only for the swimmers, but the families!! :)
